DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Lead, develop and coordinate the project business case, funding approvals, scope of work, cost estimate, schedule, and success measures for the assigned projects.
- Throughout the course of the project/program, lead the project team to monitor progress, identify critical activities, maintain budget and schedule, coordinate change approvals and resolve issues.
- Ensure all aspects of the scope of work, HSE and other legal requirements are met. Review and monitor the work process to ensure all internal and external processes are in compliance with existing standards.
- Direct multiple crews performing independent operations concurrently, maintain high levels of efficiency without sacrificing safety and quality, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Identify all the significant project/program risks, prepare mitigation plan, track, and manage the risks and contingencies as they develop.
- Ensure all key documents are properly kept and identified in the document management system.
- Act as the single point of contact for the project, ensuring there is good communication within the team members and external parties.
- Represent company, project and/or department during client and project management meetings to ensure effective communication.
- Review financial cost projections during the project execution and upon project wrap-up.
- Review schedule/progress of projects and provide planning assistance to PM’s & Superintendents.
- Participate in claim development and review of project claims/change orders.
- Acts as the main liaison between Michels Canada leadership and clients.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Engineering Degree or equivalent with 7-10 years’ experience in construction projects.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- PMP Certification.
- Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing alternative delivery projects, including, but not limited to, design/build. Design-bid-build, and PPP (P3).
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Viewpoint soft.

LANGUAGES
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
