**Cheslakees Elementary School and Early Learning Centre**, depending on

qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will inspire by example, be

able to build on the current strengths of the school and community, be visionary,

passionate, and knowledgeable in all areas of the Early Learning Framework.

Cheslakees Elementary School is located in the beautiful, traditional territory of the

Kwakwaka’wakw. Cheslakees Elementary values and prioritizes Indigenous education

while fostering meaningful relationships with local Indigenous communities. Through

partnerships with Indigenous Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community members,

the school provides students with opportunities to learn about Indigenous cultures,

languages, and histories, fostering reconciliation and promoting Indigenous ways of

knowing and being.

Qualifications:

- Holds a BC Teacher’s Certificate of Qualification
- Demonstrated successful K-7 teaching and leading experience
- Completion of, or evidence of enrollment in, a Master’s of Education Degree
- Specialization in Early Learning
