For over 60 years, The ECCO Group has experienced consistent expansion, with our manufacturing sector dominating the sheet metal HVAC market in Western Canada. Our ECCO Supply division offers comprehensive wholesale distribution services for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) supplies and equipment. With sales branches situated in manufacturing and distribution hubs across Western and Central Canada, we are now extending our team into the United States. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering substantial market expansion to join our organization as we continue to grow.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our team in Langley. The Plant Manager leads the daily operations of our production facility, playing a crucial role in developing a strategy that fosters an engaged, adaptable, and high-performing team while ensuring cost-effective operations.
DUTIES:
- Build strong and productive relationships with labor union representatives, fellow managers, supervisors, and team leaders; work with them to plan and deliver a structured approach for improving employee engagement, communication, and training
- Provide expert leadership to all production departments by coaching managers and supervisors on how to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company's overall strategy
- Mentor and develop the leadership capabilities of staff
- Develop strategies to ensure that the Calgary manufacturing facility meets the company’s growth requirements
- Set production levels in accordance with projections and ensuring that these levels are monitored and achieved
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in a progressive management role, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing or related industry
- Experience within a unionized environment is preferable
- Strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent analytical ability and with high attention to detail
Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
