**Role and responsibilities**
- Develop production plans based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and inventory levels to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input on production requirements, capacity constraints, and material availability.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to optimize resource utilization and meet customer delivery commitments.
- Conduct regular analysis of production data, including production efficiency, lead times, and material usage, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components to support production schedules.
- Work closely with the manufacturing teams (internal and contract manufacturers) to monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide accurate delivery dates and address any production-related inquiries or issues.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning, such as on
- time delivery, production cycle time, and inventory turns.

- Continuously improve production planning processes by identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in production planning methodologies and tools.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience as a production planner or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with video surveillance systems and technology is an advantage but not required.
