**Purpose and General Description**:
Every year, the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) hires interns to assist with various aspects of delivering its programming. We are seeking an Assistant, Internal Communications & Culture, to help us deliver on aspects of our internal engagement program.

NCC is an organization of more than 400 full-time employees. Internal communications is essential in evolving and strengthening NCC's culture from within. Our internal communications program aims to amplify staff voices, connect colleagues to one another and NCC's mission, values and ambitious goals and keep you informed and up to date on organizational news. The Intern, International Communications & Culture will help the Manager, Internal Communications & Culture in developing and distributing messaging to staff around projects, news and other initiatives, use various internal tools to share messaging and knowledge and help to build sustainable and effective communication channels across the organization.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Gather, research and prepare communications material for internal audiences.
- Help develop and implement communications strategies and programs designed to inform employees of initiatives.
- Co-ordinate special events and promotions for internal audiences.
- Help coordinate in-person engagement for employees in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
- Assist in writing materials meant for internal audiences, including employee newsletter and other messaging.
- Assist in developing multimedia content for internal audiences, including graphics and video.
- Develop creative ways to engage and inspire employees across the organization.
- Helping coordinate monthly staff-wide virtual gatherings.

**Required Skills and Attributes**:
This posting is targeted to individuals possessing the following skills:

- Ability to work in a team, and collaborating and obtaining information from colleagues from across the country.
- Strong writing skills.
- Digital software skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Video editing skills preferred.
- Must be well-organized, a self-starter and work well independently
- Appreciation for nature, ecology, wildlife and/or the outdoors.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a 10-week position starting on Monday, June 3 until August 9, 2024.
- Compensation: $19.40/hour.
- Position is based remotely or from NCC’s Toronto office.
