Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, the Communications Intern will support public affairs activities for the Corporate Communications department at Sinai Health - with projects at both Mount Sinai and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospitals.

As a member of our team, we expect you to complete work of value so you can build your portfolio and we will provide ongoing feedback to build your skills and enhance your internship experience. This is a hybrid work environment with requirement to work on-site at one of our hospitals minimum three days a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
**Media Relations and Public Affairs**
- Media monitoring, developing media reports and analytics,
- Arranging media interviews and updating media materials
- Developing public relations materials such as fact sheets, one pagers and presentations

**Storytelling and Content Creation**
- Researching, writing and editing content for newsletters, digital and social media
- Writing, editing and updating content on the intranets or websites as required

**Special Projects**
- Assisting in the execution of communications strategies to support corporate activities
- Support the implementation of special projects, events and other assignments as required
- Job Requirements- A recent graduate or a student in their fourth year of a four-year Bachelor’s degree, final year of an Advanced Diploma or completing a Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Public Relations or Communications.
- Excellent written, listening and presentation skills.
- Positive team player who works collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Highly motivated and demonstrated success in taking initiative and problem solving.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple competing requests with great attention to detail.
