**Summary**:
Responsible for supporting the commercial and development business operations.

**Essential Functions**:
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Manage the forecasting process with inputs from Demand/Supply and ES&OP
- Consolidate all Revenue and P&L information to perform S&OP 18 months rolling forecast including extended risks and opportunities for the site.

Operational Excellence/Value Capture
- Act as Key Finance Partner for Leadership team. Provides leadership in the identification and delivery of procurement savings.
- Prepare monthly reporting and identify trends, areas of opportunity (risk), and recommendations.

Budget
- Manage the site budgeting process.

Cost Management
- Responsible for monthly cost and FTE review with variances versus objectives/targets.
- Responsible for monthly cost management template collection with YTG forecast and Risks & Opportunities. Reconcile FTE and report. Investigate and understand variances and get in touch with the Cost Centre Owners for action planning.

Other
- Responsible to perform Capital Financial Evaluation through IRR, ROI, NPV, etc. for the site.
- Drive Financial Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvements projects by leading or being a key contributor as required.
- Manage competing priorities to meet tight deadlines where the normal flow of information is interrupted in order to address critical questions which arise from other members of the Management or Finance team.
- Support other FP&A requests required by Sr Manager, Finance.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Finance/Accounting designation is preferred - Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA).

**Experience**:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in a manufacturing organization with exposure to cost accounting.

**Equivalency**:
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required. Understanding of accounting cycle, internal controls and auditing requirements. Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with Advanced level Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with non-accounting professionals clearly and concisely. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Proven experience in driving process improvement. Proficiency with the English language.

**Standards and Expectations**:
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives. Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures. Communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skills and knowledge in related field.

**Physical Requirements**:
Light physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits, or stands for limited periods. May require occasional equipment operation including keyboard equipment. Lifts light items for limited duration. Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator on occasionally.
