**Salary**: $54,170.00 - $54,170.00/Year

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (40 hours per week).

**Key Activities**:

- Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Facility Maintenance Worker maintains all electrical fixture lamps to ensure they are clean and operational; performs work as a helper for other trades and performs related duties. The Facility Maintenance Worker responsibilities are as followed, but not limited to:

- Work Performed:
- Maintain accurate inventory of lamps in service at the NAC;
- Recommend energy efficient alternatives to traditional lighting;
- Select, test and monitor various replacement lamps;
- Ensure that lighting controls operate efficiently;
- Perform daily light inspections;
- Clean and re-lamp fixtures as required;
- Install seasonal lighting;
- Working at heights;
- Recycle waste lamps according to regulations;
- Install flags, flag poles and pennants, and maintain adequate inventory of flags;
- Seat repair/maintenance in all halls.

Perform work as helper for other trades by:
- lifting, carrying, holding and positioning parts;
- passing tools, parts and materials to tradesmen/tradeswomen;
- doing preliminary and finishing work using hand or power tools;
- assisting in cleaning and putting away tools and equipment and maintaining clean work areas.

**Skill Requirements**:

- Successful completing of a high school diploma;
- Electrical/electronic training and/or experience (asset)
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position;
- Have completed ‘Working at Heights’ training and the ability to demonstrate working at height skills;
- Good organizational skills, initiative and autonomy;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Good judgment, attention to detail, a positive attitude and flexible nature;
- Must possess W.H.M.I.S certification;
- Asset: ability to communicate in both official languages (English and French).
