**Position Summary**

An exciting opportunity exists in our Metals Division in Fort Saskatchewan for a Coordinator, Health & Safety. The purpose of this position is to coordinate and/or perform a wide variety of administrative, office, and support activities for the Safety department. This position serves as primary point of administrative contact for internal personnel and participates in the coordination and completion of ongoing projects and/or events.

**Accountabilities**
- Facilitate preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of Occupational Health & Safety statistics for the Safety Department.
- Sharepoint site management:

- Lead and manage the development and maintenance of the Safety local Sharepoint intranet site. This includes document control, ongoing document review and periodic file refresh to ensure files are compliant with updated standards.
- Assist with the document management of safety policies and procedures, codes of practice, forms, technical manuals, blind and lockout lists, reports, training Key Performance Indicators, and department headcount into the site’s document library.
- Maintain working documents in the appropriate libraries where required, confirming formatting of final documents, posting final documents into the approved library for public viewing.
- Coordinate department inventory along with consistent purchasing with reference to the operating budget.
- Assist with the development and coordination of department training to align with allocated training budget.
- Evaluate, test and recommend continuous improvement reporting functions within the Safety Department.
- Assist with the preparation and implementation of annual internal safety audits.
- Verify invoicing on an ongoing basis for selected suppliers and contractors including the work order creation and purchase requisitions in the EAM operating system.
- Review department files on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with document retention standards and to maintain organized records.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration is an asset
- Health & Safety Administrator (HSA) Designation is an asset
- Effective Time Management skills with ability to meet changing and challenging deadlines
- Communication skills both written and verbal, including public speaking, and presentation skills
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Suite, SharePoint)
- Document development skills
- Ability to work independently with significant initiative
