**Role: Warehouse Manager
**About the opportunity**
This role is based in St. George, ON, Canada.
**Responsibilities**
- Warehouse Responsibilities:
- **Operation Planning** - ensure forward looking scheduling of order fulfillment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis with the Operations Team. Ensure that department milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
- **Warehouse Supervision** - shipping, receiving, warehousing, material handling, and other related processes are adhered to by employees in a timely and efficient manner.
- **Inventory Control** - implement and ensure inventory transactional disciplines are in place to manage the proper movement of goods from order entry, goods receipt, and shipment. Champion, measure, and drive inventory accuracy to achieve goals and targets. Maintain and enhance the cycle count reporting.
- **Lean Manufacturing** - ensure lean principles are applied to part flow and all other material management activities.
- **Operations Reporting** - produce and analyze On Time Delivery, Productivity, Inventory, and all other applicable warehouse reporting activities.
- **Equipment** - oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment.
- **Health and Safety** - a key member of the Joint Health and Safety team to ensure that health and safety rules are always being followed by warehouse staff.
- Management Responsibilities:
- Ability to develop and work on quarterly departmental goals that align with company objectives, including reporting on progress for the team.
- Supervise day-to-day performance of team members, identifying key deliverables to be achieved.
- Ensure that regular team communication is established to share key KPI results and progress towards achievement of goals and targets.
- Working with internal departments, communicate with customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure flow of materials and clear information.
- Review and approve hours of work.
- Conduct Performance Reviews and maintain a continuous learning and cross-training culture to encourage the development and promotion of all employees.
- Ensure warehouse personnel have necessary equipment and skills to perform daily work assignments.
- Recruit and hire staff as required utilizing the company HRIS system.
- Lead the team to develop and improve departmental work instructions and documented procedures to utilize existing systems and technology.
- Train, advise and coach Warehouse employees, customers and carriers on procedures and systems in place.
**Qualifications**
- Post Secondary Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
- Front-line Supervisory/Leadership experience.
- JHSC Certified.
- Valid Forklift/Reach truck Operator Certification.
- Ability to delegate and coordinate warehouse functions.
- Strong problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to simultaneously manage projects and day-to-day operations with a sense of urgency and without compromising quality.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Be adept at using the Microsoft suite of tools, especially Excel, and use data to develop metrics, perform Root Cause Analysis and make Corrective Actions as appropriate.
