**Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Order Management Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, ON facility and offers benefits from Day 1.**

**What you’ll do**:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Order Management Specialist is responsible to proactively manage Milton’s manufacturing plant orders containing standard, assembled-to-order, and engineered-to order equipment. The incumbent will communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of orders.

**Essential Functions**
- Work closely with others to ensure that a high level of customer service and project management is maintained.
- Review new orders and interpret administrative/order management details. Check for completeness and accuracy of information with respect to Marketing, EatonCare, Sales and production.
- Enter orders into Global Vista or other software and manage the scheduling and change notices. Develop smart codes for production purposes and assign complexity and product codes for both production and marketing reports.
- Coordinate and manage any short shipments.
- Maintain Takt schedule and release orders as appropriate based on plant loading and production needs.
- Proactively pursue EatonCare for accurate dates and approval to ship.
- Initiate corrective action with field sales to ensure accurate and timely order. Enlist the cooperation of other internal departments as needed.
- Proactively communicate with production, materials and engineering and initiate expediting and corrective actions where necessary to keep projects on task.
- Communicate frequently with Sales, Engineering, and EatonCare to achieve on-time drawings, equipment scheduling and delivery that support customer and Eaton business needs.
- Proactively communicate order status information to customers throughout the order cycle.

**Qualifications**:
**Basic Required Qualifications**
- College diploma in business, engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of managing or coordinating projects.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- University degree in business, engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or engineered to order environment.
- Experience using Global Vista, Oracle, CAD software and order scheduling software.

**Skills**:

- Strong computer skills: MSOffice
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Result driven.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and situations to achieve superior customer service.
