As the Junior Film Editor on the in-house film team, you play a key role in assisting the department through all areas of post-production across a variety of projects across Direct and Brand Narrative creative teams.

- The Brand Creative team is hands-on and iterative; building creative with the same passion embodied in our product. Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Stylists, Directors, Video Editors, Environmental, and Craftspeople create a wide spectrum of skills to be deployed. The team is comfortable behind the pen, on an exposed ridgeline, and in any global city.

The internal Film Team is responsible for a large variety of deliverables which brings our brand and stories to life across multiple channels.

**If you were the Junior Film Editor, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:

- Working with the Film Lead and Film Specialist to assist in delivering best in class film assets, from product driving paid ads to longer form brand narrative content which contributes to business growth, brand awareness and evolution to Direct To Consumer
- Working alongside the Post Production Coordinator to ensure clarity on workback schedules, project deliverables and milestone dates
- Responsible for footage management and edit prep adhering to existing department workflows and organization structure
- Making refined footage selects, paying close attention to details and nuances in the rushes
- Working with the Film Specialist on crafting edits for our Direct channel and versioning deliverables across different languages and platforms
- Working with the Film Editor on initial edit assemblies for other channels such as social, brand experiences and retail
- Performing on-lining tasks such as colour grading, sound mixing and implementing titles
- Maintaining the internal film team server ensuring all projects are appropriately organized
- Staying up to date on evolving post-production software and implementing any relevant workflow changes to improve efficiency
- Understanding and adhering to evolving brand art direction and standards
- Communicating with other team members and project stakeholders to meet project expectations
- Ensuring our production equipment is well maintained and organized

- Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide insight into retail functions and processes
- Identifying issues and gaps in process and supports the team to help find resolutions
- Acting as a Retail point of contact in the region, with the ability to react and take action in the local time zone

**Are you our next Junior Video Editor?**:

- You have 2+ years’ experience in Video Production
- You have a deep knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, and a working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Lightroom
- You have a good understanding of visual storytelling with keen attention to detail on how edit pacing, rhythm and shot choice creates tone and feel
- You have an understanding of different video post-production workflows and video codecs
- You can work unsupervised and self-directed, while effectively balancing autonomy and collaboration
- You have strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet tight and occasionally last-minute deadlines
- You have a strong attention to detail
- You thrive in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

$56,000 - $73,000 a year
- A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$56,000 - CAD$73,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
