Communications and Event Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
**COMMUNICATIONS**:
- Develop key content for marketing activities and events, including newsletters, reports, flyers, brochures etc.
- Prepare social media content targeting specific demographics with measurable results
- Manage social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn with a mindset of growth of appropriate channels
- Create videos and materials that engage audiences that may include videography, editing, testimonials, photo collages, flyers, surveys etc.
- Coordinate photography and editing of key events, participants, volunteers and community members
- Monitor social media and website traffic for changes and report metrics regularly to the Executive Director
- Manage the content of the DHHF website, uploading pages, changing content etc.
- **EVENTS**:
- Assist with planning and implementation of both annual and 3rd party events
- Develop a workplan (with dates/times) for hosting event
- Market and promote events using a multitude of platforms, print, media, face to face
- Assist with the budget development of events to ensure cost effectiveness
- Plan and prepare event logistics including obtaining licensing, creating seating charts, menu selection, booking venues, finding entertainment etc.
- Ensure events provide an optimal attendee experience
- Maintain all records of budgets, event specifics, volunteer information and hours
- Assist with the development of a network of volunteers for use at events
- **ADMINISTRATION**:
- Assist with reception and administrative duties of the office
- Create and maintain visually appealing bulletin boards in both HWMH and DHHF
- An understanding of Raisers Edge for database entry (or willingness to learn)
- Volunteer Administration - files, hours, activities, recognition events

**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: $21.00-$23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 21 per week

**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
**Experience**:
- public relations: 1 year (preferred)
- Fundraising or Marketing: 1 year (preferred)
- Not-for-Profit: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Dunnville, ON N1A 1T1 (required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Dunnville, ON N1A 1T1: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
Work Location: In person
