**We are currently looking for a Trainer to join our Training team. This is a permanent, full time position on the day shift. **If you love a balance of independent and team focused work, and you live to see others succeed, we encourage you to apply

**Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm**

**In this role, you will**:

- Develop and deliver training for the safe operation of equipment and safe execution of Loewen processes and procedures
- Engage and support participants in their development efforts through effective delivery of training programs in one-on-one and classroom format training
- Handle group dynamics to direct the flow of discussions towards learning objectives
- Ensure legislated training requirements are met (e.g. WHMIS, powered vehicles, etc.)
- Create and maintain employee relations by fostering mutual respect
- Monitor participant progress throughout audits
- Continuous improvement of training programs

**You will bring**:

- Prior experience as an industrial trainer
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English)
- Team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to flex working hours including working split shifts.
- Good organizational skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated commitment to Loewen safety and quality programs

**The following will be considered assets**:

- Prior Loewen experience
- First Aid Training
- Training in Completion and Glazing
- Experience with power vehicles and working at heights
- Experience as a Loewen Trainer or the equivalent
- Experience with public speaking and delivering training in a group setting
- Experience with Saws, Respiratory Mask, Crane, Fall Arrest
