Early Childhood Educator Ii

Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre currently has openings for ECE II's for our multisite organization.

The successful applicant must meet the following criteria:
1. ECE II certification from the Province of Manitoba

2. Clear current Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry checks

3. Current First Aid/CPR level C certification

4. Must display Professionalism at all times

5. Working knowledge of Best Practices, MELCC licensing

6. Be outgoing, motivated, understanding, self-sufficient with strong solution based problem solving skills

7. Must demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills

8. Believe in a strength based approach to teaching children and mentoring employees.

9. Be available for opening and closing shifts each week to meet ratios and foster family/center communication

Responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:
1. Programming and implementation of daily activities in all developmental areas using age appropriate activities.

2. Attendance tracking

3. Ensuring a safe, inclusive, positive and healthy environment for children, families and employees

4. Follow all policies and protocols set in place by the Province, MELCC and the organization

5. Foster positive relations with the organization and community

6. Working under the Director in a strength based learning environment

**Salary**: $43,472.00-$46,363.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Steinbach, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Early childhood education: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- ECE II Classification from MELCC (required)
