**Job Title**: Government Relations Leader - Health Systems (Canada, Remote-Based)

As the Government Relationship Leader you will advise, shape, develop, execute, and deliver on Medtech Canada’s strategic imperatives regarding industry government and stakeholder relations. You will will proactively address industry issues, create industry opportunities, develop position papers and standards related to Medtech Canada’s strategic imperatives. In addition, You will create networks and alliances, and build positive relationships with internal members and a wide range of external stakeholders including government representatives.

**Your Role**:

- Develop, shape and implement strategies to deliver on Philips strategic roadmap relative to industry government and stakeholder relations
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, policy-makers, and industry associations
- Monitor and analyze relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and public opinion
- Advise on industry and government relations to shape strategic direction for our businesses
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, briefs, submissions, and reports
- As a member of Medtech Canada, you will be responsible for engaging with Government Relations committees to contribute to MedTech strategic imperatives and represent the interests of Medtech Canada at meetings, events, and forums
- Influence political and government agendas to achieve positive outcomes for the medical technology industry in Canada, ensuring patients have access to the leading edge, innovative technology solutions that provide valuable outcomes
- Develop and maintain an integrated and streamlined stakeholder engagement strategy for by undertaking regular stakeholder mapping to review, prioritize and leverage existing stakeholders and points of interaction.
- Influence political and government agendas to achieve positive outcomes for the medical technology industry in Canada, ensuring patients have access to the leading edge, innovative technology solutions that provide valuable outcomes

**You're the right fit if you have the following**:

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as health sciences, public policy, political science, or business administration
- Ability to communicate, negotiate and present effectively to internal and external stakeholders
- At least 10 years of experience in lobbying, government relations, public affairs, or advocacy
- A thorough understanding of the provincial and federal Canadian political system and the medical technology industry
- Ability to develop and implement strategy within a complex environment across a broad group of stakeholders.
- A proven track record of achieving results and influencing outcomes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French preferred
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and negotiation skills
