Industrial Foreman

Sil Industrial is currently hiring an **Industrial Foreman** for our division in** Bruderheim, AB.** **This is not a camp position and there is no LOA provided**

**Description**:
Reporting to the Superintendent, the job of the Industrial Foreman is to co-ordinate equipment and personnel in a safe and effective manner during both day and night shifts.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of the Industrial Foreman include, but are not limited to:

- Supervise and train to ensure safety of work crews and adherence to permit restrictions and equipment capabilities.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
- Promote safety in all activities and engage in safe work plan development, hazard assessments and mentorship with crew and conduct incident investigations if required.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Assess and confirm, through documentation, crew competencies.
- Take corrective action to mitigate immediate hazards.
- Adhere to company environmental considerations.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, transport companies, site visitors and contractors.

**Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience**:

- 2 years Industrial Foreman experience and is comfortable adhering and enforcing the stringent safety policies that are found on an Industrial sites.
- Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.
- The following training courses would be considered an asset: Leadership for Safety Excellence, Prime Contractor, CSTS-09, and WHMIS.
- Reliable transportation, clean driver’s abstract. Valid driver’s license (non GDL).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and heights in all weather conditions.
- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
