Sil Industrial is currently hiring an **Industrial Foreman** for our division in** Bruderheim, AB.** **This is not a camp position and there is no LOA provided**

**Description**:
Reporting to the Superintendent, the job of the Industrial Foreman is to co-ordinate equipment and personnel in a safe and effective manner during both day and night shifts.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of the Industrial Foreman include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure safety of work crews and adherence to permit restrictions.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
- Supervise and train workers to help ensure a safe work site.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Promote safety in all activities and engage in safe work plan development, hazard assessments and mentorship with crew.
- Drive quality, efficiency and productivity of work crews and ensure that crew has all required tools for their work, including PPE and emergency response measures.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Assess and confirm, through documentation, crew competency.
- Take corrective action to mitigate immediate hazards.
- Identify equipment and labor resource requirements for task and their utilization.
- Operate in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare associated support documentation immediately.
- Adhere company environmental considerations.
- Complete daily activity reports/daily logs.
- Work with project management to schedule and coordinate work tasks.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Work with the Supervisor/Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses on the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.

**Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience**:

- Industrial Foreman experience and working primarily on industrial sites and is comfortable adhering and enforcing the stringent safety policies that are found on an Industrial site.
- In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.
- The following training courses would be considered an asset: Leadership for Safety Excellence, Prime Contractor, CSTS-09, and WHMIS.
- Clean driver’s abstract. Valid driver’s license (non GDL).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
- Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support.
