**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are currently seeking to fill the role of Financial Analyst.

Located in Calgary Alberta, the Financial Analyst position will play a pivotal role in the financial and operations accounting of Bidell Gas Compression’s Finance group, including the Fabrication and Rental divisions, and will work under the direction of the Bidell Finance Controller.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Preparing the monthly and quarterly journal entries including cash, prepaid expenses, revenue and cost accruals, capital, intercompany transactions, reclassifications, and other applicable General Ledger (GL) account entries with supporting documentation.
- Preparing monthly GL account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing the monthly and quarterly management financial reporting and analysis.
- Providing support to operations and other divisional groups within the finance function.
- Preparing bank reconciliation and assisting on cash forecast.
- Maintaining capital asset continuity including AFE setup, amortization calculation, capital gain or loss for disposal.
- Reconciling monthly rental fleets and accruing the revenue and expenses.
- Assisting with preparation of the monthly consolidated reporting packages and providing input into the Company’s Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), as well as supporting schedules.
- Preparing working papers and assisting with various requests related to annual internal and external audits.
- Assist with the company’s ERP system modifications and changes
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the controller.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- A university degree in business, finance or accounting; currently or willingness to pursue CPA designation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a preference with manufacturing and oil field services experience.
- Understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (SL) software will be an asset.
- Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and multiple projects.
- Talented and highly motivated professional with high integrity, energy and dedication.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
