Sunrise Bakery is a large commercial bakery located on the west end of Edmonton. The company tradition began in 1963 and has expanded since to facilitate many customers across Canada and the United States. The small bakery ambience amongst 80+ persons is maintained by daily contact on a first name basis between staff and management. Staff retention levels remains unsurpassed, with many clocking in 10 years and 20 years of service.

Sunrise Bakery is currently seeking a reliable, hard-working Bakery Supervisor to add to our team. This individual must possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

This position is vital to our operations and provides long-term employment and growth opportunity.

**Job Duties**:

- Assist in the preparation of the production lines each day for the scheduled product to be run as per the instruction of the Production Manager.
- Ensure recipes are produced accurately to include proper weighing, dispensing, and mixing.
- Work as part of the team to meet quality and production standards.
- Manage production runs to targeted levels and goals in order to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Participate in the inspection and operation of the production-related equipment being used, ensuring the proper condition of all equipment.
- Participate in the training of staff on new or existing equipment and procedures.
- Must be able to positively mold and motivate employees to achieve goals.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food processing facility.
- Previous experience in a bakery setting would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising and leading staff.
- Previous experience with scheduling and Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Strong background in inventory control required.
- Must have time management skills to organize and plan tasks.
- Must be competent in reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, reading and understanding instructions such as recipes, manuals, procedures, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Regular hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 10-hour days, with occasional Friday’s. Must be available to work Morning and Afternoon shifts.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
