**Position Overview**

The Clerk provides reception and clerical support services for the mental health and addiction teams. The Clerk answers telephone calls, greets clients, families and visitors, completes appointment scheduling and client check-in; manages correspondence, obtains required documentation for appointments and provides clerical support to various clinicians.

TEMPORARY FULL-TIME until November 2025 approximately
Schedule: Day, occasional evenings

**Criminal Check**

As a pre-condition of employment:

- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**What we are looking for**
- High School diploma.
- Ability to work with clients suffering from mental health or substance abuse problems
- Ability to manage difficult clients, sometime resistant or aggressive
- Comprehension of the type of clerical support required to run a medical and multidisciplinary office
- Ability to greet clients and provide excellent customer service
- Confidentially responsible, good judgment, cognitive flexibility, emotional maturity.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage stress
- Capacity to communicate verbally and in writing in both official languages.
- Work experience using telephone.
