- **_DUTIES _**
UCN is seeking a qualified instructor for the Diploma in Practical Nursing program. This individual will be committed to excellence in
- teaching and promoting an interdisciplinary approach to care. In addition to teaching duties, the instructor will be responsible for classroom
- management, student supervision and advising, maintenance of student records and grades, curriculum review/development, and other
- administrative tasks. The instructor will also assist with assigned activities including University College promotion, student recruitment,
- and various program administrative functions.
- **_REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS _**:

- Registered Nurse with an Undergraduate degree in Nursing- Active CRNM membership with no restrictions
- Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing
- Effective time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Suite
- Familiarity with issues specific to Indigenous learners and mature students in northern communities
- Diverse nursing experience, including medical-surgical, gerontology, OBS, mental health, and northern nursing
- Commitment to life-long learning

**_ASSETS _**:

- Graduate Nursing Degre or graduate degree in a related area- Previous instructional experience
- Familiarity with curriculum development and delivery
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language
