We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, energetic, creative, and committed AMI trained Montessori Assistant (3-6) to join our dynamic team of educators. This is a full-time, permanent position.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Montessori lead teacher in implementing educational activities for children aged 3-6.
- Support individual and group learning experiences by providing guidance and supervision.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Demonstrate Montessori principles and practices in daily interactions with children.
- Manage classroom activities and materials to ensure a safe and organized learning environment.
- Provide the children with a prepared environment which includes making materials to support the individual needs within the classroom.
- Plan individual and group activities to stimulate growth of the children in social, emotional and academic areas.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating educational setting.

**Preferred Experience, Qualifications and Attributes**:

- AMI Montessori Primary Assistant certification
- B.C. ECE or ECEA certificate
- Exceptional interpersonal, time management and leadership abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- Able to create an environment built on respect, patience, empathy and kindness
- Compensation to commensurate on experience_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
