**About**

The Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF), based in a neighbouring city of Toronto, is a not-for-profit organization highly invested in securing the future of the short film industry. Through public film screenings, scholarship opportunities as well as engaging and informative panels, webinars, and industry events, VFF strives to support both experienced and aspiring filmmakers.

**Job description**:
The Vaughan International Film Festival is currently looking for enthusiastic and professional individuals to join our Cast (Events) Team. As a part of the Cast (Events) Team, volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the festival and the arts in our community and internationally, and will help in preparing for the festival, related events and work all events. The position runs until the end of September 2023, with the possibility of returning.

**Duties and responsibilities include**:

- Attending and participating in monthly meetings; meetings are in person held at our office, located in Vaughan
- Attend and work all festival events and related events; positions will vary
- Monitor group chat and acknowledge/reply to messages
- Follow VFF social media handles and interact with posts by commenting, liking, and sharing

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Minimum 18 years old
- Ontario high school graduate
- Criminal background check is required, or equivalent document
- Fully vaccinated is encouraged
- Have a WhatsApp account
- Previous film festival experience, preferred but not required
- Knowledge or an interest in films/movies
- Positive attitude
- Punctual
- Strong team player and able to work independently and relate with all levels of staff and guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
