The QAQC role includes direct oversight and review of the subcontractor's documentation and QC activities onsite. The QAQC works with other in-house personnel (i.e. Project Coordinators, Construction Coordinators, Field Review Monitors, etc.) and external personnel (independent testing agencies, third parties, subcontractors, etc.) to produce and document a quality product. The QAQC reports directly to the Construction Quality Manager.- Main Responsibilities- Review construction performance to ensure early identification of variances and deficiencies
'¢ Ensure early identification and documentation of non-conformities through regular surveillance audits, site walkdowns, and other forms of QC activities
'¢ Support external ISO 9001 regulation and assessment audit programs.
'¢ Support and assist in all external and internal audits.
'¢ Hold project team accountable for quality control program requirements and the overall Quality Manual.
'¢ Review, approve and develop Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP) and their associated checklists and inspection forms
'¢ Perform and document regular surveillance audits to ensure adherence to the ITP program

'¢ Recommend and implement improvements when required.- Profile- Minimum 5 years of direct construction inspection experience on major LRT Or similar projects.
'¢ Certified in Alberta or other jurisdiction as either a Professional Engineer, or a certified Engineering Technologist.
'¢ Good knowledge and experience in the implementation of problem-solving methodology and performance of Root Cause Analysis (i.e. 6 Sigma)
'¢ Good knowledge and experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
'¢ Knowledge of Canadian Building Codes, CSA and ASTM codes
'¢ Experience with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to reach mutually agreeable solutions to technical issues or field issues
'¢ Thorough knowledge of general construction methods and construction codes

'¢ Understand the requirements of fire-related construction requirements.
'¢ Strong organizational skills
'¢ Proficiency in MS Office and Quality Management systems.
'¢ Detail oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license, preferably with clean abstract.
