**Description**:
Mount Sinai (442 beds) is an acute care hospital and home to the largest high-risk obstetric center in Canada. Surgical services include general surgery, gynecology, otolaryngology, urology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dentistry, orthopedics, and ophthalmology. All surgical programs have significant oncology components. Opportunities for practice in acute and chronic pain are also available. The Deputy Head will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the clinical and academic department.

The Deputy Site Head will also be an integral member of the departmental and institutional leadership teams, as well as the Practice Plan Executive Committee. As such, the incumbent will be involved in developing departmental strategies and aligning the site’s activities with these strategies.
