Are you passionate about nature, wildlife, and outdoor photography? Do you have a keen eye for capturing stunning visuals that tell a story? Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation is looking for a visual content creator to help showcase the beauty and importance of our regional parks through captivating imagery.

As a full-time, temporary position, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and Regional Greenways. Through your photography and videography skills, you will document nature, wildlife, landscapes, and various park programs and projects, giving our audience a glimpse into the wonders of these natural spaces. This remote-hybrid role offers a creative outlet for you to spend your summer outdoors, expand your photography and video portfolio, and gain valuable hands-on experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Embark on exciting expeditions to capture stunning visuals of nature, wildlife, landscapes, and park projects within the regional parks
- Skillfully compose and capture natural portraits and videos of park users, showcasing our efforts in connecting people to nature
- Document park partners' programs, including the CTS Youth Society free summer camps, through compelling videos and photos
- Coordinate meetings with park stakeholders to plan video and photo shoots and arrange park visits
- Participate in various events, including some weekends and evenings, to capture significant moments and experiences
- Create a comprehensive inventory of Foundation assets such as benches, picnic tables, structures, etc., through visually appealing photography
- Maintain consistency with the organization's brand guidelines and contribute to its creative vision
- Edit photos and videos using post-production software to ensure high-quality and impactful content
- Support other duties as required to contribute to the overall success of the Foundation's communication and marketing initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- A deep passion for nature, wildlife, and outdoor photography/videography
- Proven experience in capturing visually stunning and impactful imagery; knowledge of photography art and lighting
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively plan and coordinate shoots with park stakeholders
- Flexibility to attend events outside of regular working hours
- Proficiency in post-production software to edit and enhance photos and videos
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to work within them to maintain consistency in visual content
- Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
- Creativity and a keen eye for detail to produce engaging visuals that resonate with the audience
- Professional attitude, must be able to fulfill project briefs and set shot lists, as needed
- A commitment to environmental conservation and the mission of Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation

**Experience**:

- Photography and videography
- Nature photography and videography experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of DSLR, outdoor natural lighting
- Experience with Photoshop, Lightroom and/or another photo editing software

- Personal camera and digital editing equipment (we can provide software, if needed)
- Access to a vehicle (you will be reimbursed for gas mileage and paid for your travel time to and from the regional parks)
- Flexibility to travel to different regional park locations as required
- Must be age 15-30 and fulfill all other Canada Summer Jobs requirements
- Note that we reserve all rights to the photos and content created in the course of this contract.
