The Product Optimization Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to:

- **Participate in Front of Pack labelling evaluation, analysis, and all requirements for execution.**:

- Assist the Regulatory team as they maintain accurate food labelling information for finished products (e.g. allergens, nutrition, ingredient statements, product name, claims) to assure compliance with regulations.
- Develop copy deck template for artwork and reviews artwork for regulatory compliance and approve packaging.
- Participates in meetings to coordinate product launch deadlines, packaging material approval and finalizing product specs.
- Manage product specifications and documents of new and existing products in online specification system.
- Participate in development and maintenance of food labeling policies and procedures as needed.
- Organize and participate in group product cuttings testing changes to existing products (cost savings, business continuity, ingredient updates, recipe changes, etc.).
- Provide sensory feedback (written and vocalized) on a wide variety of food during tastings evaluating food for quality assurance monitoring purposes or innovation development (as required).
- Maintaining clean kitchen space as well as utensils and dishes used in sample preparation.
- Perform detailed cook validation testing for existing and new products using various methods (oven, microwave, grill, air fryer, etc.).
- Organize and support third party consumer testing of product changes through organizing and acquisition of samples through working directly with Consumer Insights and Marketing teams and the testing agency.
- Attending plant trials and/or first productions at supplier facilities to ensure that processes and product meet specifications.
- Responds to technical questions from suppliers, stores, colleagues, etc.
- Create or update English and French product information sheets and information feeding onto the website.

So are you our next Product Optimization Specialist? You could be if you have,
- Degree/diploma in Food Safety, Food Science, or related field
- Experience in Food Quality Management Systems & Specification management system.
- Experience in working in a GFSI accredited facility
- Strong organizational and planning skills; detail-oriented;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; multi-task and prioritize tasks;
- Refined sense of taste and able to evaluate a variety of food for various attributes
- A working knowledge of French is an asset
- Competent and comfortable preparing food in the kitchen alone and with a group. As well as presenting samples and gathering and summarizing feedback.
