I'm an individual with Muscular Dystrophy hiring privately to enable me to live with dignity and independence in my own home. I've beaten the odds with my disability and I'm now trailblazing alternatives to institutionalized care that require an expanded roster of engaged, conscientious employees. **Requirements**:
- You have experience in caregiving, household management, healthcare, or similar.
- You are able to learn my routines and perform them proficiently without constant prompting. I will rely on you to be self-motivated and self-sufficient within established boundaries.
- You are flexible enough to complete tasks according to my preferences rather than your own. You are able to gracefully receive constructive criticism about your work.
**Schedule**
The schedule will alternate weekly and includes overnight sleep shifts:
- Week 1: Fri 10pm - 7am; Sat 7am - 10am and 10pm - 7am; Sun 7am - 10am and 10pm - 7am.
- Week 2: Mon 7am - 11am.
As life continues 24/7, there may be times where I will need you to work on a public holiday.
**Responsibilities**
- Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Helping with toileting.
- Performing transfers via ceiling lift.
- Meal preparation and eating assistance.
- Supporting as needed overnight (e.g. repositioning, toileting, cough assist, etc.).
