Transportation Manager

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize cost, service, and performance
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth coordination of transportation activities
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
- Supervise a team of transportation personnel, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and negotiate contracts as necessary
- Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, warehousing, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and suppliers to ensure reliable transportation services
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation management

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of transportation systems, processes, and regulations
- Proficiency in using transportation management software or systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Knowledge of materials management, demand planning, and order fulfillment processes
- Familiarity with freight forwarding operations and customs regulations

**Salary**: $41.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
