**Job description**

The Program Manager (PM) develops and manages new and existing programs by recommending, monitoring or adjusting appropriate plant operating procedures to meet program requirements within the manufacturing facility. Coordinates program vendor activities including design, tooling and material suppliers to ensure cost, deliver and quality targets are met according to customer requirements and schedules. Reviews estimates and quotations for new and existing product manufacturing including labour costs, material costs and non-recurring engineering costs.

**Responsibilities**
- Work closely with assigned customer accounts to gather pertinent RFQ information for all new projects to be passed on to estimating
- Take a sales approach when following up on quotes submitted to customer
- In conjunction with the Sales Director, provide regular future sales forecast updates to assist in the upfront capacity planning process
- Manage NPI product manufacturing to ensure the best value tooling that will yield the highest part quality with the lowest cost
- Support new programs by attending product development meetings to ensure production decisions are considered with respect to timing, product design and cost
- Work closely with production team to provide timely and accurate part feasibility feedback during the early stages of part development
- Maintain new part summary spread sheets for each product to track all commercial activity status
- Review all purchase orders for products to ensure all aspects of the purchase orders (price, payment terms/dates etc.) are in line with all quotations prior to purchase order acceptance
- Provide complete new customer/product kickoff information to production team group
- Facilitate various customer reviews for new products ensuring that all proper approvals are in place at the various stages of development
- Facilitate engineering change, warranty and repair meetings with production as per ISO to ensure clear scope of work to be performed is clearly defined
- Ensure any changes to customer specifications or processes that would affect their products, are communicated back to the appropriate personnel
- Must be able to provide timely and accurate progress reports on programs as requested by customers
- Assist in improving our program management systems and processes
- Attend product reviews, can identify issues and provide suggestions with a strong understanding of effective production methods.
- Manage and Update PDP (Product Delivery Process) Timing, Milestones and Deliverables by using ProShop ERP
- Develop customer relationships that support our ability to be successful
- Utilize effective communication with Employees, Managers, and Customers
- Incorporate best practices and lessons learned into process designs and communicate lessons learned for the benefit of other programs; Assist in improving our program management systems and processes

**Qualifications**
- College diploma / University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- PMP Designation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

**Experience**
- 5-7 years of experience in machining or manufacturing
- Extensive program management experience in the small to medium size manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing processes for small and medium manufacturing businesses

**Skills**
- Possess sound financial and business knowledge
- Advanced understanding of CNC product design and manufacturing processes (machining, lathing)
- Proficient in the use of manufacturing ERP system
- Effectively network and communicate to utilize resources within the company
- Perform well in high pressure situations
- Strong negotiation, problem solving and facilitation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - verbal and electronic
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Understanding of ISO9001-2015, AS9100D and Controlled Goods programs

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
