**Job Summary**

**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the HACCP Coordinator plays an integral role in the organization and efficiency of the Quality Management System and regulatory programs by ensuring all GMPs, SOPs and internal programs and procedures maintain compliance with CFIA, OMAFRA and other regulating bodies as required. The HACCP Coordinator is responsible to organize and maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System, conduct internal audits and participate during third party audits.

Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the HACCP Coordinator will also lead in the development and implementation of HACCP and SQF systems by coordinating the development, management, evaluation and improvements of these programs.

**Key Responsibilities**

Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, Standard Operating Procedures, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP and Health & Safety policies at all times.

Perform daily monitoring activities including Verification, Validation, Audit, and Recordkeeping to ensure continuous compliance within the facility

Conduct annual gap assessments on the QMS and adjust as necessary

Conduct internal audits as outlined in the regulatory programs

Participate in third party food safety and regulatory audits

Identify and create training material for all levels of staff including production, quality control, sanitation and maintenance. Ensure the facilities training needs are met and each employee has a thorough understanding of the rules and guidelines as well as the importance of their contributions to production, storage and distribution of safe quality products.

Complete all training and sign offs with staff members

Facilitate the HACCP Team Meetings, Including preparations of the of the agenda and meeting minutes. Close out any food safety concerns.

Inform Management of any significant non-conformities and actions to maintain the integrity of the quality programs

**Qualifications**

3 to 5 years of food manufacturing related experience in areas of GMP and HACCP principles and programs.

Post Secondary education in Food Science or related discipline

HACCP Certification

SQF Practitioner certification

PCQI certification

In-depth HACCP experience including program development, implementation of programs and auditing of the programs

Strong leadership and communication skills with proven ability to coach individuals

Detail oriented with excellent organizational and presentation skills.

Strong systems skills (including MS Office, Google, MS Visio and Project)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
