Sales Manager

Rainbow Greenhouses is known for being a leader in the industry and our sales team has a direct impact on our customer's experience with our products. Reporting into the General Manager, the Sales Manager will play a critical role in providing guidance to our sales team. This is a hand-on, in-the-action kind of leadership position. The Sales Manager will oversee our sales team which is comprised of Account Managers, Program Managers, a Sales Admin team, and our Merchandising Team. The agriculture industry is demanding but incredibly rewarding. We work with some of the largest retailers in Western Canada in order to provide the best product possible not only to our customers but also the end user.
Here's a bit of what you will be responsible for:
**People Development**
- Develop employees through various means such as training, mentoring, coaching, and providing opportunities for career advancement
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members
**Sales Strategy**
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans in alignment with company goals
- Collaborate closely with the operations and horticulture teams to ensure alignment between sales forecasts and greenhouse production capabilities
**Sales Process**
- Define and optimize sales process
- Collaborate with horticulture team to define product specs. annually
**Customer Relations**
- Manage and nurture existing client relationships to foster long-term partnerships and maximize customer satisfaction
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services and build brand awareness
**Budget Management**
- Manage budgets for logistics, monitoring expenses, and optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial targets
This is a role for someone with a strong understanding of relationship management with customers and of what it means to be a leader. You know how to support and how to challenge, while at the same time you love a good process and structure.
