We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our **Transportation Specialist**.

**Position Summary/Objective**:
The Transportation Specialist is responsible for leading Transportation Coordinator team and support activities related to the movement of products in our supply chain (inbound and outbound). Able to collect and analyze data for business insights that supports future planning and strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s core values.
- Tender loads and coordinate shipments from the company (outbound).
- Lead the team responsible for coordinating imports and exports shipped to and from the company.
- Support with customs representatives to ensure compliance on documentation (commercial invoice, BOL, etc).
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve customer service levels.
- Maintain and publish KPIs including cost per case, on time delivery.
- Take **OWNERSHIP** to develop and maintain strong working relationships with carrier contacts; work to mitigate product damage and delivery risks.
- Work closely with third party warehouses in Canada, US and Europe.
- Support with carrier contracts and price negotiation.
- Track and approve invoices for freight/transport/delivery services as required.
- Support all facets of transportation as directed.
- Keeps the work atmosphere** FUN** by keeping it light and welcoming.
- Support team in problem solving.
- Other duties as required.

**Reporting Relationships**

The position reports directly to the Transportation Manager.

No direct reports.

**Education & Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business preferred.
- 2-3 years transportation experience required.
- Strong analytical skills, reporting KPIs.
- Experience in food manufacturing an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Tableau and SAP TMS an asset.
