**Job Summary**
Maintenance Electro-Mechanical Technicians support the production by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, making repairs and optimizing systems for industrial machinery and electrical/mechanical equipment while following safety policies and procedures.

**As a Maintenance Mechanic (Complex) you will **
- Diagnose difficult equipment failures and provide solutions to correctly diagnose all, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems and expedite their repairs minimizing interruption to production
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine and non-routine maintenance work on machinery as outlined by the work orders and make changes as deemed needed.
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation using a CMMS system.
- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Perform spot repairs on production and facility equipment with mínimal to no supervision with high quality and workmanship standards.
- Communicate with customer and effectively escalate system issues.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule.
- Cross reference equipment issues and functionalities between equipment and machines.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate abnormal conditions.
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or machinery set-up.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping and following the 5S system.
- Perform maintenance in areas such as finishing system, fabrication, machine shop, welding, assembly, cutting, lifting devices and pipefitting using proper techniques and applicable tools.
- Ability to lead problem solving processes and initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Train and mentor Intermediate and Advanced Mechanical Technicians through repairs and troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor Intermediate and Advanced Electrical Technicians through repairs and troubleshooting.
- Research troubleshooting procedures, installation, and equipment improvement using equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation, including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c))
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

**Who are we looking for? We are looking for **
- 8+ years of experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Experience with Trumpf, Mazak, Cincinnati, and ABB Robotics will be an asset
- Ability to work independently and draw from experience with mínimal supervision
- Ability to problem solve and follow standardized practices and procedures
- Ability to use maintenance planning software or willing to learn to define and execute PM plans and work orders
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to document and create new standards such as: troubleshooting, PMs, and problem solving.

**Education/Professional Certification**:

- College Diploma in Millwright or equivalent program
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Millwright Certification of Qualification (C of Q)
- Electromechanical Technology Diploma.
