Production Planner

**What will you do as an Production Planner?**:
The Production Planner assists with the coordination and implementation of Engineering Change Orders as well as planning purchased accessories. The Production Planner will coordinate the transition of component lifecycle and version changes, assess and communicate any impacts to the production schedule, and provide administrative support for the production planning team. The Production Planner will help address and respond to inquiries from Inside Sales Support, Engineering and Program Management.
Typical duties, responsibilities and activities include:
- Provide support with the coordination and implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO), ensuring a smooth transition of products and components in and out of Production
- Provide administrative support for the various planning/scheduling tools
- Coordination of purchased accessories, to ensure Purchase Orders satisfy Sales Order demand
- Assist with the coordination of New Product Introductions (NPI), collaborating with Engineering, Program Management and Operations.
- Manage CSP and Gocator Select orders
- Ensure the planned schedule is executed efficiently, advising applicable stakeholders of pertinent changes that may impact the production schedule.
- Proactively contributes to and implements continuous improvement initiatives
- Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
**What do you need to be successful?**:
- Bachelor’s degree or related professional designation
- Previous work experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of production planning, purchasing, capacity planning, and scheduling
- Extensive knowledge of various elements of supply-chain
- Previous knowledge of MRP/ERP systems is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines with strong time management skills.
