**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, Organizational Development and Employee Health Services, the Health and Wellness Specialist is responsible to promote the health and well-being of staff, physicians and volunteers, using comprehensive health promotion strategies in the workplace. This position will be responsible for the developing, coordinating, delivering and maintaining comprehensive programs for enhancing a healthy workplace. Healthy workplace programs reduce lost time injuries and absenteeism which are essential in maintaining financial stability and promoting an engaged workforce.

**Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities**:

- Undergraduate Degree in Health Sciences, Health Promotion, Physical Education/ Kinesiology or wellness-related field; equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion Diploma preferred;
- Additional related certificates (ie. Mental health first aid)
- A minimum 3 years of experience in the delivery of health and wellness programs required
- General computer skills with intermediate level skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Demonstrated training and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated history of inter-professional collaboration and customer service focus
- Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
