Volkswagen Licensed Service Technician

At _**Hamilton Volkswagen**_ an Licensed Service Technician is responsible for correctly executing service and repair procedures on Volkswagen vehicles. Such service and repairs will be defined by the Volkswagen repair manual, diagnostic testers, test plans and the Laws governing the repair and service of vehicles in Ontario. The technician is required to document their findings in a reasonable and clear way, while providing a high level of customer service. This role will require attention to detail and cooperation amongst your colleagues and numerous other departments and business partners. In addition, it will require teamwork to assist with the coordination of parts ordering for customer pay and recall repair completion. The employee is required to learn the required method of repairs through learning in the shop and Volkswagen Canada online and instructor led training.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, fellow staff members, sublet trades and representatives of Volkswagen Canada.
- Provide professional and courteous service for customers in person and on the phone.
- Perform vehicle diagnosis using electronic diagnostic tools, mechanical inspection, and road testing.
- Complete all required inspection forms with accuracy, honesty, and integrity.
- Perform all service work with the required and appropriate parts and materials as dispensed by the Parts Department.
- Perform all repair work with the required and appropriate parts and materials as defined by the Volkswagen repair manual, including the replacement of mandatory replacement parts/hardware.
- Treat customer vehicles with care and leave them in better condition than when they arrived.
- Perform all vehicle repairs following the warranty policies and procedures as outlined by Volkswagen Canada.
- Involve the Shop Foreman or Service Manager when making challenging warranty decisions.
- Ensure your Motive Power 310S Technician's License is kept in good standing.
- Ensure your College of Trades Membership is kept in good standing.
- Ensure you have enrolled or completed or will complete the Ozone Depletion Program (ODP).
- Work with Volkswagen Canada and management to ensure all annual training certification courses are complete.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
