Thunder Bay, Canada North Star Air Ltd. Full time

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Act as the focal point for all technical dispatch status and control of in-service aircraft.
- Oversight of all deferred defects on the fleet, review and monitor deferred defects and schedule for rectification.
- Liaise with Flight Operations with regard to aircraft on ground (AOG), and coordinated alternate aircraft to backfill for out of service aircraft.
- Monitor the performance of contracted Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO) in the maintenance of company in-service aircraft for completion of maintenance tasks.
- Arrange facilities for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on in-service aircraft at approved Aircraft Maintenance Organizations.
- As directed by the PRM, responsible for issuing deferrals to flight crew and contracted maintenance organization in accordance with the Company MCM.
- Monitor maintenance forecast and schedule aircraft maintenance.
- Review completed work packages and monitor the maintenance tracking software to ensure aircraft maintenance schedules are adhered to.
- Utilize the SMS reporting system program and adherence to the safety policies for North Star Air.
- Other duties as delegated by the PRM.

- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.
- Previous experience with aviation tracking software.
- Effective and efficient multi-tasking abilities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and team building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Company personnel.
- Must be flexible and organized with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s (AME) license issued by Transport Canada.
- Must relocate to Thunder Bay, Ontario
- Valid Ontario full “G” driver’s license.
- Aeronautical Radio License issued by Industry Canada.
- Ability to obtain necessary airport security clearances, and successfully complete the company screening process.
- Minimum 5 years Licensed with Technical Operations or Quality Assurance experience.
- Ability to make timely and informed decisions in a high pressure environment.
