Carte International has an exciting career opportunity for a **Production Manager** in their **Weld Department.** If you are a “Night Owl” and working midnights fits your lifestyle, We Want You As the Production Manager you will play an integral role within our organization. Your role requires you to coach, communicate and lead by example with a collaborative approach and a forum where everyone feels comfortable to bring forward new ideas. You are passionate about safety and promote a culture where Safety is just as important as quality.

**Schedule: MIDNIGHT Shift (Sunday - Thursday)**

**In your role, you will**:

- Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
- Be responsible for operational processes of your department by achieving and monitoring production objectives.
- Plan the daily operations of your department and follow up on them.
- Manage your group and ensure the quality of the product.
- Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
- Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain communication with other managers in your departments for any issues related to your department.
- Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving processes.
- Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
- Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
- Exercise your leadership while respecting the vision and values of Carte.
- Coach your team to develop their talent in the organization.
- You have a diploma in operations, production, or engineering management or a related field.
- You have 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- You have experience maintaining ISO 9001, and other certifications required.
- You are results oriented with the ability to develop positive working relationship with all employees.
- You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
- You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
- You have interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, the management team, and other departments.
- You are motivated by a stimulating and fast changing environment.

**Skills**:

- Skilled at creating and maintaining strong teamwork approach.
- Capable of conflict resolution / performance management.
- Aptitude for interpreting engineering fabrication drawings and read Blueprints.
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
