**Position**: Journeyman Parts Technician
**Classification**: Non-Exempt
**Reports to**: Parts Supervisor
**Salary**: Starting at $36.00/hour

We are currently looking for a responsible and dependable Parts Technician. The Parts Technician is primarily responsible for processing orders and requests for parts.

Essential Functions
- Process orders and requests for parts
- Work closely with Heavy Duty Mechanics to understand needed parts for repairs
- Manage inventory levels of the shop by ensuring frequently-used parts are stocked appropriately
- Drive out to sites to pick up ordered parts and bring back to shop

Knowledge / Competencies
- Knowledge of heavy-duty aftermarket and parts supply
- Flexibility to work varied and long hours
- Solid customer service and communication skills
- Ability to utilize computer software

Work Environment
Parts representatives work in a shop environment and will frequently travel outdoors to pick up parts and needed supplies.

Hours of Work
The position requires a regular working schedule of Monday through Saturday with potential to have Saturdays off. Hours may fluctuate based upon the time of year, with busy seasons potentially requiring 10-12 hour days and slow seasons requiring 8-10 hour days.

Physical Demands
This is moderately physically strenuous work. Parts Technicians work in a shop environment and must be capable of bending, crouching, and lifting parts of up to 50 pounds in weight.

Required Education and Experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years of Prior experience working in a similar role
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience and familiarity with parts for heavy duty trucks.
- Must be a Journeyman Parts Technician. Apprentice Parts Technicians may be considered at a relevant apprentice rate.
