_**Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist**_

**POSITION TYPE**:Permanent, Full Time

**SUPERVISOR**:Accounting Supervisor

**POSITION LOCATION**:Kelowna, BC.

***: Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist is responsible for performing basic accounting/finance functions and other related duties as appropriate for the Tle’ Nax T’awei Group.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions
- Reviewing and processing invoices and payments
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Preparing and processing bank deposits
- Assist with monthly preparation of financial statements
- Maintaining filing systems for invoices, cheque copies, contracts, and bank deposits
- Assisting in year-end preparation for audits
- Inventory maintenance
- A/R and A/P Customer Maintenance
- Collections on overdue accounts

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines
- Cross cultural awareness
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be thorough and pay attention to detail
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality in working with sensitive information

**Knowledge and Technical Skills**:

- Experience working with Sage accounting software
- Knowledge of general financial policies and procedures

**Education and work experience**:

- Minimum of 1-year experience in the administrative field
- Grade 12 diploma
- Coursework in finance/administration

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
