**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with implementing and evaluating recreation activities and activities of daily living for participants in the Respite Program.
- Working closely with the client and encouraging client independence within their daily activities
- Promote participation within recreation, leisure, and social skill development
- Responsible for driving clients within the community for various outings
Qualifications & Experiences
- Enrolled in a Diploma or degree program in a related field (Developmental Services Worker, Social Service Worker, Community Service Worker, Behavioural Science, Recreation and Leisure)
- 1 year working experience with people that have developmental disabilities, specifically autism
- Must have strong communication skills, and be able to work effectively as a team and individually
- Must have experience dealing with challenging behaviors because of the possibility of working with aggressive clients.
- Must have a valid G driver’s licence
**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
