Join us today as we are currently hiring a **Rail & Bulk Terminal Manager **based in **Woodstock, ON.**

**Core Job Functions**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the site - rail cars, trans-loading, scale house etc.
- Bring ‘hands on’ management style - perform all levels of work as required to service the customer and ensure a safe operation
- Manage terminal personnel to deliver safe, reliable and professional services to customers and transport companies.
- Stay current on all regulatory changes involving Environment Canada, CN, Transportation Canada, Ontario Ministry of Transportation, OH&S, TDG etc.
- Stay current with TDG regulations, product handling, hazards management particularly as it relates to liquid petroleum and chemical products.
- Provide yard maintenance for the Railyard (snow clearing, ice control, vegetation control, grading, graveling when needed)
- Ensure all required inspections and audits are completed
- Perform monthly track inspections and take any action needed to remain compliant
- Ensure all equipment is compliant and re certified within allotted time frame
- Ensure truck scale, bin scale and track bonding are certified and current
- Keep all customer inventory tracking current
- Develop and maintain Safe Work Procedures Documents for all tasks relating to yard operations, ensure compliance to same
- Work with Seaboard Safety HSE to ensure Seaboard Bulk Terminals Woodstock Operating/Work Procedures are adequate.
- Oversee, coordinate and manage truck and rail car traffic in and out of rail facility. This includes managing the logistics of the yard to ensure a safe work environment for all while delivering on service and profit expectations.
- Plan, implement and oversee the work of staff members to ensure efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements and company procedures
- Conduct ongoing safety audits, meet with individual staff members, initiate and participate in morning/daily toolbox meetings, conduct quarterly safety meetings and participate or direct other work activities designed to promote work safety and encourage continuing education among staff members.
- Mentor new employees and provide performance management discipline as required.
- Provide all documentation and BOL’s for team members
- check over all documentation and BOL’s when completed
- Propose and deliver solutions to improve both operational and financial goals of the business

**Job Requirements**:

- Rail Yard Operations experience - minimum 5 yrs
- TDG product handling experience (petroleum, chemical products) - minimum 5 years
- Managing people - minimum 2 yrs
- Problem solving
- Safety first mindset and safe performance track record
- CN/CP relations experience is a bonus
- Designing of Standard Work Procedures or Job Hazard assessment
- Customer relations
