**Role Purpose**:
Responsible for the collection and organization of real estate related data, which is to be used for property assessment and consulting services within the different asset classes.

**Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities**:
**Market Research**
- Obtain all required property information related to property assessment and taxation
- Conduct research from both internal databases and third-party sources, with respect to market rental data, sales transactions, comparable assessment data & general market info
- Ensure that all necessary property data for client properties needed to provide assessment and tax consulting services is obtained and organized in a timely manner

**Data Entry & File Management**
- Ensure data collected is entered accurately into internal databases in a timely fashion
- Organize information for each property assessment accurately in preparation for analysis
- Log assessments and tax bills issued into internal databases
- Assist in the appeal management, file maintenance and electronic storage of documents Analysis Preparation
- Summarize client and market data to allow senior staff to easily analyze for the purpose of complying with statutory filing requirements or analyzing potential savings opportunities
- Under direction of senior staff, sets up valuation sheets, reviews leases and rent roll data, sales research and comparisons, comparable assessment and equity analysis etc.

**Report Setup & Preparation**
- Under direction of senior staff, assist in the set-up and prepare initial reports
- External reports include assessment appeal reports, review panel, Appeal Board hearing materials etc.
- Enter relevant data (using Altus templates specific to property type) as required: Copy & paste tables, references, images etc. from established sources
- Prepare schedules and related work papers to support the numbers to be submitted to jurisdictions
- Assist in creating internal project tracking and client-based progress reports using standard software such as Excel, Access, Altus Tools and other appropriate software

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business or Math required
- Less than 1 year of relevant experience required

**Skills & Knowledge**
- General proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat required
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Basic research skills
- Basic quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Attention to detail in order to complete data entry exercises accurately
- Written communication skills
