**Introduction**

Provincial Services administers income benefits and shelter assistance programs and health supports throughout the province. The branch provides assessment and processing of subsidies for the following units: Child care Subsidy, Income Supplement Program, Disability and Health Supports Unit, Health Services.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector search.
- Must have a satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Must have a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check.

**Qualifications**:

- Essentail:

- Experience working with the general public, providing service to diverse clients.
- Experience determining eligibility and explaining legislation, policies or procedures to others.
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure with accuracy in an environment with competing demands.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with the public, team members, managers, other staff and agencies.
- Effective problem solving skills with the ability to manage conflict in a calm and respectful manner.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with high degree of initiative.

Desired:

- Knowledge of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
