Linc Evening Educational and Virtual Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
This position reports directly to the Manager, English Language Centre The role is responsible for in-class assistance and virtual assistance in the LINC Evening program on campus.

Job Duties

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

- Provide online and in person support for evening students on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
- Provide student orientation to computers, Canvas LMS, MS Office Suite and other programs in an in-person and online classroom environment.
- Issue computers to in-person students and receive them at the end of the evening.
- Check attendance and call students who are absent.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned by manager or Academic Coordinator.
- Organize and participate in the ELC welcome and Farewell Ceremony each semester.
- Calculate attendance each month for all ELC credit and LINC students.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Post-Secondary diploma or in process of receiving one is required.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Above average computer skills are a must.
- Individual must be highly organized and able to work with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a teaching assistant or virtual assistant role is an asset.
