We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Press Brake Operator/Sheet metal Installer. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in machining and fabrication who is looking to contribute their skills to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Experience using a DELEM controller would be a bonus $$. TIG Welding experience would be a bonus $$.

**This is a 2 part position. 50% in the shop fabricating and 50% in the field completing installations. Press Break experience is mandatory. Will provide training for installation.**

**Shop Fabricator**:

- Duties_
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine the correct specifications for each job
- Select the appropriate tooling and dies based on the requirements of each project
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, pressure, and depth of bend to ensure accurate and precise results
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on machines as required
- Qualifications _
- Previous experience operating press brake machines is required - Min 2 years
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with other equipment such as shear, notcher
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Ability to lift heavy materials and operate a forklift if necessary
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Shop location is just east of Chestermere, AB

**Installer**:
An installer will use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, circ saw, grinder, table saw, etc to professionally install the interiors to high quality standards.

Installers work in team of twos, with a van and all the required tools provided.

Installations are in Calgary and Edmonton.

Abilities / Skills: must be able to read a tape measure. Knows general work safe practices and general installation knowledge.

**Requirements**:
Canadian Citizenship; Driver’s License with clean abstract; Own vehicle; Consent to background check; English

Lyft Surfaces was founded in 2017 and is the leading provider of custom elevator interiors for all of Alberta. We design, manufacture, install, service and maintain all types of elevator interiors from the very basic to the most elaborate. Our business is a mixture of industries, such as sheet metal, welding, glazing, finished carpentry, cabinet making, engineering and interior design. The most common materials we use are stainless steel, plastic laminate, particle board, back painted glass, mirror, and vinyl. We manufacture most of our own products in-house.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
