Cabinet Maker/installer

**About the Position**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker / Installer, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling laminate wall panels according to specifications, using Wilsonart plastic laminate and particle board. You will also be expected to install wall panels and other materials on a variety of job sites located both in Calgary and out of town.

This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood or other materials to build wall panels and components
- Install panels using various techniques such as gluing, nailing, or screwing
- Install hardware such handrails
- Ensure panels are level, plumb, and properly aligned
- Inspect finished panels for quality and accuracy

**Skills**:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools commonly used in cabinet making
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during construction or installation
- Experience using sliding arm table saw, panel heat press, edge bander.

Working Locations: Various sites Mostly in Calgary - with some out of town* work such as Edmonton

*Special payments and extras when working out of town

Shop location is just east of Chestermere

**Requirements**:
Canadian Citizenship; Driver’s License with clean abstract; Own reliable vehicle; Consent to background check

We design, manufacture, install, service and maintain all types of elevator interiors from the very basic to the most elaborate. Our business is a mixture of industries, such as sheet metal, welding, glazing, finished carpentry, cabinet making, engineering and interior design. The most common materials we use are stainless steel, plastic laminate, particle board, back painted glass, mirror, and vinyl. We manufacture most of our own products in-house.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
