**GIS Assistant**:
**FULL-TIME POSITION**

**SUMMARY**:The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in updating the geographic information system (GIS) for the Regional District. The GIS includes a digital cadastral and planimetric map base with a property information database.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree or diploma in GIS.
- Knowledge and an understanding of ESRI’s ArcGIS products (including but not limited to ArcGIS Server, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS online).
- Minimum 1-2 years’ related experience.
- Related work experience within a local government setting is preferred.

**HOURS OF WORK**:This position works on a 9-day fortnight schedule, averaging 70 hours bi
- weekly Monday through Friday, with every other Friday off. On occasion, the incumbent will be required to work in the CRD’s Emergency Operation Centre.
